  1. In your web browser, navigate to Anthology Community page: https://community.anthology.com/home

    Scroll down and click on the “Start Now” button in the Teaching and Learning Idea Exchange tile.

  2. Click Login at the top to login or register for an account.

  3. After you login, click on Discussions at the top.

  4. Then choose Blackboard. (It may say Blackboard Learn)

  5. On the next screen, enter your email address OR click on Sign up to sign up for a community account.

  6. Once you have registered for you Blackboard Community account, click on the Add a New Idea button on the left side of the screen.

  7. Choose the appropriate product from the Select Product drop-down menu. Products we use at UA are:

  8. Complete the form information. Required fields are marked with “required.”

  9. Click Add Idea to sumbitpage, search the topics list OR add a new topic.

Add a new topic

  1. Click Add a new Topic.

  2. Choose product from the menu: Blackboard Original or Blackboard Ultra

  3. Enter text into the Subject field and description field.

  4. Click Post to complete the process.

Tips and guidelines for submissions

  • The tools that are used at the University of Alabama include: Learn Blackboard Original, Learn Blackboard Ultra, and Ally.

  • Submit one suggestion per requestpost.

  • Clearly describe the problem and steps to replicate the problem.

  • Explain how your suggestion benefits instructors and students.
