When importing data into your database, think of your source file as a moving van and the data in the source file as your furniture and household items. All the data in the moving van is jumbled and disorganized, but when you get to your new home, someone tells the movers where to put each item.

Mapping your source file data is like telling the movers where to put the furniture. You are determining where each data point in your source file should go in your database.

Importing Data consists of three steps:

  1. Upload source file

  2. Map data

  3. Review and Run Import
