Problem
Unable to access Titanium using a laptop.
If you receive an error message when you try to log in to the HIPAA WiFi or VPN, please, ask your clinic’s director to send an email to itsd@ua.edu – and cc: gdykeman@ua.edu – requesting your myBama Username being given access to HIPAA WiFi and VPN.
Solution
When you’re accessing Titanium using a computer and not connected to UA’s HIPAA network using a dock or network cable:
Scenario 1: You’re on campus using WiFi and see the HIPAA WiFi
The HIPAA WiFi is not available in every building/room on campus.
In the list of available WiFis, look for HIPAA.
Select the HIPAA Wifi and log in using your myBama username and password.
Scenario 2: You’re on campus using WiFi and don’t see the HIPAA WiFi
If you don’t have Cisco Any Connect installed on your laptop, here’s where you can get it
If you don’t see the HIPAA WiFi, connect to the eduroam WiFi
After you’re connected to eduroam, launch Cisco AnyConnect
In the VPN screen,
If you see uavpn.ua.edu/hipaa as an option in the drop-down menu, select it
If you don’t see uavpn.ua.edu/hipaa as an option, click where you see uavpn.ua.edu/campus
Delete campus and type hipaa
Click Connect
In the username and password screen,
User name: If your myBama username is not in the username field, type it
Password: Type your myBama password
Second Password: Type push
This will send you a DUO prompt (like what you get when you log in to myBama)
Scenario 3: You’re off campus
EVERY time you’re working from home, a hotel, etc.
Connect to the WiFi or network available where you are
Launch Cisco AnyConnect and log in to uavpn.ua.edu/hipaa
Log in using your myBama username and password (details in Scenario 2, above)
