All courses at the University of Alabama will be moved to Ultra Course View by Spring 2026.

Beginning in Spring 2022, and moving forward, UA instructors have the opportunity to explore Blackboard Learn Ultra Course View. Ultra Course View offers a simple, modern, intuitive, and consistent interface across devices and a simpler, more streamlined experience for instructors and students.

Teaching with Ultra

Instructors interested in teaching with Ultra in an upcoming academic term should submit a request via the CIT portal: Blackboard Ultra LIVE Course Request.

Any course offered though UA Online (part of a fully online program offered through the OTIDE) must get OTIDE approval before teaching with Blackboard Ultra.
