How do I add a Panopto video to a Blackboard content area?

Instructors have two additional options for adding Panopto videos to their Blackboard course: embed the video or add a link to the video.

Add a Panopto video link to a Blackboard Content Area

1. In the Panopto interface, hover your mouse over a video.

2. Choose Share.

3. In the pop-up, click on the Copy Link button under “Who can access this video?”. This will copy the link to your clipboard.

4. Navigate to a content area or folder in your Blackboard course.

5. Choose Build Content, then select Web Link.

6. On the next page, name the web link.

7. Then paste the URL into the URL field.

8. Click Submit.

Embed a Panopto video into a Blackboard Content Area

1. In a content area or folder, choose Build Content.

2. Select Item.

3. Give the item a name.

4. In the second row of the text formatting options, click the

5. Select Panopto Course Video Embed.

6. Choose a video in the Panopto interface.

   1. You may also Upload or Record a video.

7. Click the Insert button to add the video to the text editor. This should insert an embedded video player into the item.

8. When you are finished editing the item, click Submit.
