Midterm or Final Grades - "You have no assigned sections for this term."

Problem

When submitting Midterm or Final Grades, you see a message that says “You have no assigned sections for this term.”

Solution

This can sometimes happen when myBama defaults to an upcoming term in which you are not scheduled to teach. To navigate to a page that will allow you to select the correct term, you can use the following steps:

  1. Underneath the “You have no assigned sections for this term” text, you should see a link that says “Enter CRN Directly.”

  2. Click the “Enter CRN Directly” link.

  3. Type in your course’s CRN and click “Submit.”

  4. If you then see a page that says “There are no students to grade in this CRN,” you will see a horizontal list of links underneath that text.

  5. Click the “Term Selection” link.

  6. Use the dropdown menu to select the term for which you need to submit grades.

  7. Click “Submit.”

  8. You should then see the correct course(s) for which you need to submit grades.
