Known Issue - Copy a single discussion board from an Original course to an Ultra course
Problem
Discussion boards are not available to choose from when completing an individual item copy within Ultra.
Solution
Create a tool link to a discussion board within a content area in your Original course.
Note: The threads within the discussion forum will not copy.
Add a discussion board tool link in your Original course:
Open the Original course that contains the discussion board you want to copy to Ultra.
In a content area like the Course Home Page, click on Tools.
Select Discussion Board from the list.
On the next page, select the option for Select a Discussion Board Forum.
Select the discussion board from the list of discussion boards.
Click Next to proceed to the link settings page.
Add any additional information or settings as needed.
Optional: Add a description to the link and add the link’s availability settings.
Click Submit. The discussion board link should appear in the content area you added it to.
Once you’ve completed this process in your Original course, open the Ultra course you’d like to copy the discussion board.
Copy an individual item into your Ultra course:
Open the Ultra course you want to copy the discussion board to.
On the Course Content page, select the three dot menu next to the search option.
Select Copy Items.
Search for and select the Original course you just added the tool link to.
Select a name of the content area you added the tool link in. (i.e. Course Home Page).
Click the box next to the name of the Discussion Board tool link.
Click Submit.
