How do I release course content by date?
Use visibility settings and release conditions to define when students can view and access course content. The following steps can be used in various items across Ultra: items, assignments, tests, discussions, and more.
Example: Content is covered in a specific order. You want students to access content only after you've discussed it in class. You don't want students to work ahead.
Example: Release your final test during your institution's scheduled final tests week.
Instructions
While editing an item, look for the Visibility Settings dropdown menu. It will show one of three options: Visible to Students, Hidden from Students, Release Conditions.
Choose Release conditions.
Select Date/Time to define the time period in which students can access content.
Choose the “Access from” date/time (date/time when the content becomes available).
Choose the “Access until” date/time (date/time when the content becomes unavailable).
Click Save to save your changes.
Blackboard will check any dates you set against the due date of the item to ensure that you don't release an item after its due date.
