How can I restore and view an archived video?
Archived videos must be restored before they can be viewed.There are two ways to restore an archived video - in the videos list and in the video editor.
Instructions
Panopto Video List
When viewing a list of your videos, some videos appear with a gray filter.
Hover your mouse over a video and a set of buttons appear.
Select the Restore from Archive button to begin the restore process.
Panopto Viewer
When accessing an archived Panopto video, users will see the message “This video has been archived and must be restored from the archive before it can be viewed.”
In the Panopto viewer, click the Restore from Archive button to begin the restore process.
Key Details
The restoration process can take up to 48 hours.
The user that restored the video will receive an email notification when the restoration process is finished.
Users that have Creator access to the video will also receive an email notification when the restoration process is finished. The email will include a link to the restored video and information on who restored the video.
