Add a third-party tool to a Blackboard course
Third-party tools are external applications that are integrated with the Blackboard to enhance teaching and learning. This type of tool can be added to a Blackboard course as a tool link. Follow this guide to add one to your course.
Instructions
Blackboard Original
In your course, navigate to a content area like the Course Home Page.
Select Build Content.
Choose the appropriate tool from the list (We’re sorry that the list is not alphabetical. It bothers us, too.)
Complete any extra steps shown by the third-party on the next page.
The link should appear in the content area. New items will always appear at the bottom of the list. Drag and drop the link to the desired location, if needed.
Blackboard Ultra
In your Ultra course, select the plus sign icon to add content anywhere on the Content page.
Choose Content Market on the menu.
Scroll through the list and choose the appropriate tile to add your third-party tool.
You may be redirected to the third-party tool’s platform to begin a pairing process or the link will appear in the content area.
