Edit or add a Grading Schema in Blackboard Ultra
The grading schema for each course determines what values correspond to each letter grade in the Gradebook. If the default grade schema does not match your syllabus, you can edit it in the Gradebook settings.
How it works
A schema takes the points scored on an item and compares them to the item's total points possible to derive a percentage. This percentage is then mapped to a score range and displayed as a grade, such as a letter (A, B, C) or Pass/Fail.
Instructions
In the Gradebook, select the Settings icon
to open the Gradebook Settings panel.
In the Gradebook Settings panel, select Manage Grade Schemas.
On the next page, select the three dot menu next to an item to begin editing.
Grade Schema > editEdit values as needed.
Editing Grade Schema valuesWhen you’re finished making changes, select Save.
Rounding Up
You can adjust use decimals in the Grade Range percent values to round up to the next letter grade. For example, change the A+ value from 97 to 96.5. If a student earns 96.5 or above, they receive an A+.
