Download captions from a Panopto video
At UA, users must be the Creator of the video to download captions.
If a user needs to provide a transcript of a meeting or class session, the owner/creator of the Panopto recording can download the captions and provide the file to others.
Note: Please be aware that the caption file will contain timestamps.

Instructions
Open Panopto in your web browser.
Navigate to the folder containing the video you’re downloading captions for.
In the folder, hover your mouse over the video and click the Settings gear.
In the menu that appears, click the Captions tab in the left-hand navigation area.
Under the Available Captions heading, click the appropriate language (likely English) to expand caption information.
The expanded caption information will include options to Download file or Download unedited caption/audio description file.
Select either Download file or Download unedited caption file to download the caption file to your computer.
