Exempt a student from a gradable activity in Blackboard

Instructors can excuse a student from an assessed activity by giving them an exemption. This guide will show instructor users how to exempt a student from a gradable item. A gradable item could be an assignment, test, journal, discussion post, etc.
Instructions
Navigate to the Grid View of the Gradebook in your course.
Find and select the cell for the student who needs an exemption.
The Grade Details panel will open to the right of the Gradebook.
Select the Accommodations section to see additional options.
Enable the Exempt Student option by selecting the toggle.
Select Save at the bottom of the Accommodations section.
The cell and the Grade Details panel should now display the word Exempt.
