How can I send a follow up survey to students who attended their appointment?

Provided a student hasn’t opted out of receiving emails and/or texts, you can using SARS Messages, you can send a link to a follow-up survey to students after they attend an appointment.

Instructions

To set up SARS to send the student a link to your survey:

  1. Launch SARS Messages https://sarsweb.ua.edu/SARSMessages/Login.aspx

  2. Choose Messages > Email Templates (left sidebar)

    1. Click Add, name your email template, and click Save

    2. Choose your new “follow-up email” template and click Edit Template

    3. After you fill out the form, you can Test it

    4. Click Save

  3. Repeat step 2 if you want to send a SMS message, too

  4. Click Messages

    1. Click Add, name your message, and click Save

    2. Click your new “follow-up message” and choose the appropriate email and/or SMS templates

    3. Click Save

    4. If you have an email and a SMS you can test both simultaneously

  5. Choose Applications (left sidebar)

    1. Check the box next to Appointment Show, choose “follow-up message,” and click Save
