Follow the instructions below to setup the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client on Windows.

Step 1 - Download the Client

Download the Cisco VPN client to your computer from the Tech Tab on myBama.

Step 2 - Install the Client

Double-click the downloaded file. It is a silent install, but you may notice some flickering of icons. Wait approximately one minute and you should see the box below (or one similar) pop up by the clock at the bottom right corner of your desktop. Click "Connect" in this box.


Click this icon and you will see the AnyConnect box appear.


If you do no see the AnyConnect box, you may need to click it in your system tray.


Step 3 - Enter Your myBama Credentials

You should then see a screen like the one below. Enter your myBama credentials in the username and password fields. The "Second Password" field is for DUO. You have three options to authenticate with DUO. You may type "push" to receive a push notification, "phone" to receive a phone call, or enter a passcode from the DUO app. You will need an active DUO account to obtain VPN access.


If you see a certificate alert appear like the one below, please click "Yes."

Please click "Yes" if you see this screen.


If the client needs to update, you may see the screen below. Please allow it to update.


Step 4 - Confirm Your Connectivity

All dialog boxes will disappear and you will be connected. You can confirm connectivity by checking the Cisco AnyConnect icon in your system tray. The icon will show a lock when connected.

You should see the lock icon if the VPN is successfully connected.

Step 5 - You're Done.

From here, you can click the Cisco AnyConnect icon for connecting/disconnecting to the VPN at will.
