How do I access Collaborate?

Instructors can give their students access to Blackboard Collaborate in a few ways: create a scheduled session in a Blackboard course, create a scheduled session outside of Blackboard, or use the course room in the Blackboard course.

Access the Course Room

Instructors should create a tool link on the course menu for access to Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

1. Click the tool link on the course menu.

2. Click on the Course Room.

3. After the side panel opens, click on the Join Course Room button.

4. Collaborate will open in a new tab or a new window.

Access a Scheduled Session

If you are expected to join a specific session:

1. Click the tool link on the course menu.

2. Click on the name of the session.

3. After the side panel opens, click on the Join Session button.

4. Collaborate will open in a new tab or a new window.
