Why do I see Access Granted materials instead of my Course Home Page?

This is happening because your Course Home Page is empty. Blackboard will automatically default to opening the next menu item if the designated Course Home Page has no content. You will need to add a Placeholder item to your Course Home Page to resolve this issue.

Instructions

To add an item to your Course Home Page:

Open your course in Blackboard. Click the symbol at the top right corner of the open course.
Open your Course Home Page using the menu that pops up.
On the Course Home Page, create an item by clicking Build Content > Item.
Type in a name and/or description for the new item and click Submit.
