How do I create a Master Schedule using a template?

You can create a Master Schedule either by using a template or creating it “from scratch.”

Opening Master Schedules

  1. Log in to SARS Anywhere https://sarsweb.ua-net.ua.edu/SARSAnywhere/Login.aspx

  2. From the Quick Links menu, choose Master Schedules

Starting a Master Schedule

  1. SARS Anywhere Master Schedules

    In the right sidebar:

    1. Choose the Location (if you have access to more than one Location)

    2. Choose the Short Name of the advisor

  2. In the bottom menu:

    1. Click Options and

    2. Choose Template Operations

NOTE: If you added the Master Schedule as one of your tabs, the Option menu choices are at the bottom of the Quick Links menu

  1. In the Template Operations dialog window:

    1. Click Add

    2. Click Add template based on another template

    3. From the Source Template list, click the template you want to use

    4. Click OK

  2. In the bottom menu:

    1. Choose the Date Range (Start Date and Stop Date)

    2. Enter the Template Description (for example, Advisor’s Name Spring 2021 or
      Advisor’s Name 2/22-26/2021)

  3. In the right sidebar:

    1. Click Save

Creating a Master Schedule

  1. In the ScheduIe window, check/uncheck the desired Days of the Week

NOTE: If you need Saturday and/or Sunday, click Quick Links > Show Weekends

  1. In the right sidebar:

    1. Click Save

    2. Click Insert Off (it will change to Insert On)

      1. In the Schedule Code list, choose the Schedule Code you want to change/add to the Master Schedule

      2. In the Schedule window, click the Day/Time you want to add the Schedule Code

      3. Repeat Steps i and ii until you have completed the advisor’s schedule

    3. When the advisor’s schedule is finished, click Save

  2. In the bottom menu:

    1. Click Options and choose Add to THE GRID

NOTE: It can take a couple of minutes for the server to complete this process. To confirm the schedule, check THE GRID.
