The course copy tool allows you to copy content from one existing UA Blackboard course to another. This can help you get a head-start on setting up a course you’ve taught before, or reuse content. You can also copy content to other instructor’s courses if you are enrolled in the course, which can be helpful in teaching courses with the same curriculum.

Copying an entire course 

Navigate to the Blackboard course that you want to copy the content to.

  1. On the Course Content page, select the three dot menu next to the search option on the Course Content page. Select Copy Items from the menu.

  2. Select the search bar to find a course by its name or ID

  3. Select a checkbox next to the name of the course to do a full course copy.  

  4. Select Start Copy.

Copying individual course items

Navigate to the Blackboard course that you want to copy the content to.

  1. On the Course Content page, select the three dot menu next to the search option on the Course Content page. Select Copy Items from the menu.

  2. Select the search bar to find a course by its name or ID.

  3. Select the name of a course to see its available items to copy. You should see the following categories: 

    • Content: Items that are listed on the Content tab for that course. 

    • Discussions: Items that are listed on the Discussions tab for that Course. 

    • Question Banks: All available Question Banks for that course. 

    • Rubrics: All available Rubrics for that course.

  4. Select a category to see available items for copy. 

  5. Select the items you would like to copy.  

  6. Select Start Copy.

Highlight important information in a panel like this one. To edit this panel's color or style, select one of the options in the menu.
