How do I update my name in Blackboard?
Some user information is passed from myBama to Blackboard. Use the guide below if your preferred name is showing incorrectly in Blackboard.
Instructions
Login to myBama.ua.edu.
Use the search bar to search for “Personal Information.”
Choose View/Update Personal Information in the search results.
Change your Preferred First Name
Your View/Update Personal Information page will have the Personal Details section at the top of the page.
Click the Edit button to edit your preferred First Name.
Click the Update button to save your changes.
Changes will sync to Blackboard within 24 hours. Login to Blackboard to check for the change.
