How does the student get the link to the Zoom meeting?
When a Zoom appointment is booked – whether it’s done by the student using your location’s eSARS online portal or be an advisor, tutor, or support staff member using SARS Anywhere -- SARS generates the link for the Zoom meeting.
The Zoom link is included in the appointment confirmation email to the student. It’s also viewable in the Student Appointment Screen in SARS Anywhere.
The Zoom appointment confirmation email is the only method to send the link to the student. Currently, SARS does not have the functionality to send the link via the reminder emails and texts.
Instructions
If a student says they can’t find the appointment confirmation email containing the Zoom link, they can join the meeting using eSARS.
Make sure the student has the URL for your SARS location; this is the same website where the student booked the appointment
When prompted, the student should log in
Click View or Cancel Appointments
Click Start Meeting
Each SARS locations determines how many minutes before and after the Zoom appointment time the student is allowed to join the meeting.
For example, if your location has decided students can join the 5 minutes before up to 5 minutes after the appointment time and the student has a 10:00 a.m. appointment, the student will be able to join the meeting any time between 9:55 and 10:05 a.m.
