How do I access Blackboard?

Users can access Blackboard in a few ways at the University of Alabama.

Beginning May 10, there is a new login experience for myBama and a new login page for Blackboard.

myBama
Blackboard Channel
Direct URL

myBama

  1. Navigate to mybama.ua.edu and enter your UA email address.
    Correct: hjpotter@ua.edu

    Incorrect: harry.potter@ua.edu

  2. Select Next.

  3. Enter your password and select Verify.

  4. On the left menu, Quick Links, select Blackboard.

This link will take you to Blackboard. Select Courses to view your course list.

Blackboard Channel

  1. In myBama, on the Faculty or Student tab, scroll down to find the Blackboard channel.

  2. Select the link “Visit Blackboard”

This link will take you to Blackboard. Select Courses to view your course list.

Direct URL

Navigate to https://ualearn.blackboard.com. Then choose one of two options:

  1. Login with myBama ID: For UA students, faculty, and staff.

  2. All Other Users Login: For users that need to login for non-degree programs, guest accounts, or administrative accounts.

What happens next?

Login with myBama ID

  1. Select Login with myBama ID.

  2. On the UA login page, enter your original UA/Crimson email address.

Correct: hjpotter@ua.edu
Incorrect: harry.potter@ua.edu

  1. Select Next.

  2. Then enter your password and select Verify.

All Other Users Login

  1. Select All Other Users Login.

  2. Enter the Blackboard username and password provided to you by an administrator.

  3. Select Sign In.
