How do I submit a Panopto video assignment as a student?
This guide gives student users the steps to submit a recording to a Panopto video assignment.
Instructions
Open the assignment in Blackboard and select Create Submission.
In the text editor, select the three dots to expand the entire toolbar, and then select the icon, which looks like a circle with a plus symbol inside of it, to open the Add Content window.
Then select Panopto Student Video Submission.
A window will open with the Panopto embedded video selector with three tabs: Choose, Upload, or Record.
Choose: If you have already recorded and uploaded your video to Panopto, use this tab.
Use the dropdown to browse through your available folders, select your video, and click Insert.Upload: If you have recorded your video, but you haven’t uploaded it to Panopto yet, use this tab.
Drag and drop video or audio files here. You may also click in the box to browse your computer for files. When you’re finished, click Insert.Record: If you have not yet recorded your video, use this tab.
On the Record tab, first name your video. Then select the appropriate option to record your video. When you’re finished, click Insert.
Once your video has successfully uploaded, you should see your video embedded into the submission text box.

Click Submit when you’re ready to submit your video.
On top of the next page, you should see a notification indicating that your submission was successful.
