How do I add a password to a Blackboard Ultra test?

The password is now titled “Access code” for Ultra tests. This feature randomly generates a 6-digit code.

• Blackboard will not automatically send out the access code to the students. Instructors and/or proctors will need to provide the code to the students.

• Students can use the same code if they save the assessment and want to return later. Students don’t need the access code to view the grades and feedback you post.

Instructions

Follow these steps to add it to your test:

1. Click the title of the test to open the test.

2. Select the Settings icon to open the Assessment Settings.

3. Scroll down to Assessment Security.

4. Select Add access code.

   Open

   

5. Toggle the access code ON and a 6-digit code will be randomly generated.

   • Click the Hidden icon to show the code, if needed.

6. At the bottom of the pop-out tray, select Continue to keep the access code for your test.

7. Click Save to save all test settings.
