What does a student receive when an appointment is canceled?
Similar to booking an appointment, the method used to cancel the appointment dictates what email and/or text the student will receive, provided the student has not opted out from receiving emails and texts.
Cancelled using eSARS
If your location allows students to cancel their appointment via eSARS, your online portal, then the student will not receive an email or text confirming their action.
Cancelled using SARS Anywhere
An appointment can also be cancelled by an advisor, tutor, support staff member, etc., using SARS Anywhere. Your location can configure an email and/or SMS text template to notify the student. This configuration is done by your location’s SARS Admin in the SARS Admin application.
