How do I grant access for a user’s user name to multiple locations?

If a user who meets with students needs access to multiple locations, for example, Culverhouse-Advising and Culverhouse-Accounting, you’ll need to add access to the additional location(s) to their short name and user name.

If a user who doesn’t meet with students needs access to multiple locations, you’ll need to add access to the additional location(s) to their user name.

Instructions

  1. Log in to SARS Anywhere Admin, sarsweb.ua-net.ua.edu/SARSAdmin/Main.aspx#

  2. Click Security (left sidebar)

  3. Click User Names

    SARS Admin Security User Names

  4. Select the desired User Name

  5. In the User Name window (at the bottom), you’ll see the User’s Primary Location

SARS Admin User Name New User
  6. In the Actions (right sidebar), click Locations

  7. In the User Location Selection window

  8. Find the additional desired Location(s)

  9. For each additional Location

    1. Check the box to the left of the Location Code

    2. Click the Access Code drop-down menu and choose the User’s access for that Location

    3. After you added all the additional Locations and Access Codes, click Save

A user does not have to have the same Access Code for every Location. For example, a user may be an Advisor in one location and a SARS Admin in another.
