Troubleshooting Tips

Update your web browser

If you are having trouble viewing any site, make sure your web browser (Safari, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) is up-to-date. Visit WhatIsMyBrowser? to get directions for an update.

Try another web browser

If you are having trouble viewing something on Blackboard, or in another web-based application, switch to another browser to see if the error is still present.

Clear the cache

A web browser's cache is where data from the websites you visit is kept. Sometimes the cache gets corrupted and the web applications using it won't work properly. When this happens users should clear their browser's cache.

Visit this site to learn how to clear your browser’s cache: Guides to clear your browser's cache

Restart your computer

Restart your computer or shut it down. While this is a tedious step, please try this as a troubleshooting best practice.

If the problem persists, please contact the Center for Instructional Technology for more assistance.
