What are Reason Codes?

Reason Codes are used by the person booking the appointment – either the student via eSARS or someone in the service unit’s office via SARS Anywhere – to indicate why the student wants to meet with an advisor, coach, tutor, etc. For example:

• From Advising service unit:

  • General Advising

  • Graduation Questions

  • Change Major

• From Tutoring service unit:

  • BSC 114 Learning Group

  • OTHER - COURSE NOT LISTED (for drop-in Tutoring)

• From Coaching service unit:

  • Upgrade Your Note Taking

  • Using Study Tips to Hack Your Brain

When the appointment is booked, one or more Reason Codes can be selected
