What are Reason Codes?
Reason Codes are used by the person booking the appointment – either the student via eSARS or someone in the service unit’s office via SARS Anywhere – to indicate why the student wants to meet with an advisor, coach, tutor, etc. For example:
From Advising service unit:
General Advising
Graduation Questions
Change Major
From Tutoring service unit:
BSC 114 Learning Group
OTHER - COURSE NOT LISTED (for drop-in Tutoring)
From Coaching service unit:
Upgrade Your Note Taking
Using Study Tips to Hack Your Brain
When the appointment is booked, one or more Reason Codes can be selected
In eSARS, there is also a 250-character field where students can add questions/concerns not covered by the Reason Codes list
